Congratulations on taking the first step toward conquering YOUR pain!

I’m Terri Sharps, a physical therapist in Little Rock, Arkansas.  I was a long-time soccer player and practiced mixed martial arts as an adult for 5-6 years.  I have helped teach kids’ classes in mixed martial arts and coached kids’ recreational soccer and basketball teams.  I graduated in 1994 from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, working at Elite Functional Rehab since 2009.  I am certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), and Y-balance Test.  I have provided on-site medical coverage for Dallas-area high schools,  Dallas Hoop-It-Up tournaments, and women’s semi-pro football in Little Rock.

During my 25 years as a PT, I have worked with patients in the areas of outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, and geriatrics.  Regardless of the setting or patient population, I am passionate about helping people get back to doing what they love–moving better and feeling better while doing it.

My goal for this blog:  to empower people to conquer their pain by providing them with information about common conditions affecting muscles, joints, and nerves combined with simple at-home strategies to treat them.  If you have questions about something I post or have specific things you would like to see me post about, don’t hesitate to email me at terri@confrontpain.com .

Whatever you do,

Don’t take your pain lying down, confront it.
